This site provides links & resources for free online flight instruction. The intention is to give people wanting to learn to fly an understanding of general topics of aviation and what it takes to know to fly an aircraft. This site can also provide current and newer pilots a reinforcement or better understanding of aircraft flight.

Under NO circumstances should a person attempt to solo / fly an aircraft unless they first

get proper instruction and dual seat experience with a flight instructor. ​

To start with, videos don't convey context very well. In a face-to-face situation, a pilot can tell if the learner is 'getting it' or not and can add additional information if needed. Another good reason is that we don't want people with no actual flight experience to get a false sense of confidence and then go try to fly. The fact of the matter is, even a partially competent pilot can make flying look way easier than it actually is. It's much harder to do with no actual instruction.
